What not to do
Avoid using a running hose or tap to rinse your pet's mouth. The toxin is sticky and needs to be rubbed off for effective removal. Using running water, especially with a disoriented or seizing pet, can lead to water inhalation. This can result in severe aspiration pneumonia or even drowning.
