Bio
Founder of Universal Pets

Carolyn Pietzner began her journey in the Pet Industry in 2000 when she opened the first pet shop in the small town of Moranbah, Queensland. It was here that Carolyn discovered her true calling and for animals. While running the pet shop, she also studied pet grooming to support her clients, especially as her daughter prepared to leave home, and Carolyn quickly fell in love with the art of grooming.
After four years, she closed the shop and relocated her family to their farm in Netherdale, west of Mackay. Following a year off, Carolyn launched a grooming salon in Mackay, which flourished into one of the largest in the area, thanks to her dedication and commitment to high standards.
After her marriage ended, Carolyn decided it was time for a fresh start after 13 years in grooming. She opened a clothing store and later pursued studies as a Funeral Celebrant following her mother’s passing. At that time, her two sons were working in the human funeral industry, and studied to become End of Life Doula. A few years later, Carolyn was drawn back to her passion for animals and realized that the Pet Industry was her true calling.
Combining her experience as Funeral Celebrant and End of Life Doula, she founded Sacred Souls Pet Funerals in Gladstone, Queensland, and continues to serve the community with a new program dedicated to helping pets Australia wide.
